Dr. Daniel Cohen was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and has been practicing general dentistry for over 22 years. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology from McGill University in 1995 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Toronto in 2000.

Dr. Cohen maintained a private practice in Cornwall, Ontario, from 2001 until 2015 where he had the opportunity to advance his skills in multiple areas of dentistry including emergency dental treatment, oral surgery and dental extractions, endodontics (root canal therapy), periodontics (gum and bone surgery), orthodontics (braces and Invisalign® clear aligners), denture therapy and basic restorative treatment.

In 2015, Dr. Cohen sold his Cornwall practice and took over a large cosmetic restorative practice in Montreal, Quebec, where he has spent seven years treating more complex oral rehabilitation cases involving implants, orthodontics and esthetics.

In 2022, Dr. Cohen sold his Montreal practice and decided to relocate to Redding, California, where he joined Dr. Franziska Dutton’s dental practice early in 2023.

Like Dr. Dutton, Dr. Cohen also considers himself to be a preventive family dentist. He has a warm and compassionate approach to treatment and considers patient education a top priority. He views his patients as an “extension of his family” and always tries to get to the “root” cause of the problem.

Dr. Cohen has extensive educational training and hands-on practice in all aspects of dentistry:

Dr. Cohen enjoys spending time in the great outdoors and is eager to explore all the beauty that northern California has to offer. He also has a passion for martial arts and practices various forms of Kung-Fu, Judo and Ju-Jitsu. He looks forward to meeting all new and existing patients, as well as working alongside Dr. Dutton’s amazing team in servicing the Shasta and local Redding community.
